Thought control, in the form of a sketchy theory of evolution taught as fact, already has wormed its way into schools, even if gun control has not. In many respects, that form of control is more dangerous than uncontrolled weaponry.

Look in the mirror. It was the Christians who used to burn people at the stakes and bury their women with children while alive for disagreeing with them.
It was SOME so-called Christians who did this. Real Christians knew better. But these were actually a brainwashed cult.
Brainwashing into cults, including the cult of evolution, is a very common thing for people who just follow others without doing their own research. That's how we have Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, et al, claiming to be Christian but who have no idea what the real Christian faith is about.
