Progressives replaced the old idea of divinely originated virtue with a new ethical system: anything goes between “consenting adults” and “your rights end where my nose begins” In other words, unless you directly hurt someone else, your values are just as valid as anyone else’s. This ethical construct often goes by the pseudonym “tolerance” or post-modernism.
