It is a serious crime, and strictly enforced, to break an eagle egg. Apparently, because there are plenty of unborn (parallel to unhatched) human babies, it is not a serious crime to kill them. Everyone knows that to break an eagle egg before it hatches is to kill an eagle. What is it to perform an abortion on a person?
