Sex Is Not A Mere Function

When sex is segregated to the biological side of man’s nature, it is separated from man’s total being, and intercourse is reduced to a mere function.  It is extremely important to distinguish clearly between function and beingBeing signifies the very ground of man’s existence as a person of infinite value, with ultimate dignity as an end in himself.  A function is but an exercise of being, an activity by which man steps out of himself in order to perform some deed without ultimate significance.
