Psychology is Culturally Influenced

It has been argued that the diagnoses of the Psychology Industry, which are revised frequently, are actually culturally influenced moral judgments which convert the person's behavior into pathology and make the psychologist an enforcer (or reinforcer) of changing societal values.  For instance, the Psychology Industry may pejoratively describe the construction worker who whistles at a passing woman as harassing and assaultive, while being more forgiving of such behaviors as consuming alcohol, using heroin or overeating, calling these "addictive diseases."
