As a group [homosexuals] are characterized not only by strikingly disproportionate incidence of promiscuity, but also by a much greater incidence than among heterosexuals of alcohol or drug problems as well as of paraphilias. According to the National Gay-Lesbian Health Foundation, drug and alcohol problems are three times greater among homosexuals that among heterosexuals.
