Unrecognized Bias

It is a common error to assume that a rejection of religion guarantees objectivity.  Many take it as a given that those who believe in the Bible are hopelessly subjective and incapable of seeing life as it is, while those who reject the Bible are--this is supposedly an infallible and eternal truth--clear-sighted, rational, objective, unbiased.  But this is itself only another kind of subjectivity and bias, more powerful because it is unrecognized.
