The LEFT Despises Christians

In the U.S., the Left wants to impose its ideas and worldview on everyone. Most Christian churches still adhere to the precepts of the Bible and believe that abortion is wrong, that homosexuality is a sin, and that there are only two genders. For the “crime” of having common sense and following the teachings of our Creator, our churches are labeled by some secularists as “hateful,” and some are even put on the SPLC’s so-called hate map. The funny thing about the Left, particularly the woke Left, is that people of other faiths like Islam — which also labels LGBTQism an abomination — are fellow travelers. It seems only Christians are being attacked in this manner.

A Reason for DIscernment in Church

The communists discovered that the destruction of religion could proceed much faster through infiltration of the church. It was determined that with only small forces availableiti would be necessary to concentrate communist agents in seminaries and divinity schools. These institutions would make it possible for a small communist minority to influence the ideology of future clergymen. The idea was to divert the emphasis from the spiritual to the material.

The USA and Christianity

In 1853, there was an anti-God group who sought to have God removed from government much like we see being pushed today. They wanted references to God removed from government documents, sought to remove chaplains from the military, etc. Their vision was a religiously neutral Government. But the problem with their vision, and with those who espouse similar views today, is that neutrality is a myth, a point which will be addressed below. 

The anti-God proposal was submitted in the U.S. Congress to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees for deliberation. They deliberated for several months and, in 1854, came back with the following report:

"Had the people, during the Revolution, had a suspicion of any attempt to war against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle. At the time of the adoption of the Constitution and the amendments, the universal sentiment was that Christianity should be encouraged, but not any one sect … In this age, there can be no substitute for Christianity … That was the religion of the founders of the republic, and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants.”

With or Without a Christian Foundation

That the post-Christian age has been the bloodiest in history, that the French and Russian Revolutions, both fiercely anti-religious, produced bloody despotic regimes, while the pro-religion, God-based American Revolution produced the freest country in the world -- both these facts are unknown to most young Americans. Why the LEFT Hates Christians

Conservative Christians are subjected to such virulent hostility primarily because we pose a threat to the leftist, immoral agenda of the media and entertainment industries. When believers conform to the dictates of Scripture, they have the temerity to stand against abortion, euthanasia, “population control,” condom distribution, pornography, sexual license, and the tax-and-spend policies of liberal government. Above all else, religious conservatives are hated because of some of them—very few, unfortunately—are willing to oppose the gay and lesbian agenda in all its excesses, from the push to legalize same-sex “marriage” and adoption to the lowering of the age of consent, the advancement of pro-homosexual school curriculum, and the construction of “bath house” establishments.

In contrast to those who promote immorality, committed Christians invoke the name of God in advocating the sanctity of human life, the permanence of marriage, abstinence, brotherhood, and bringing up children in the fear of the admonition of the Lord. Those who take the scriptures literally stand by the side of the highway to perdition, warning travelers that dangers lie ahead and urging them to take a higher road. For this, we are despised. Jesus Himself told us we would be hated for what has been called “the offense of the cross.” Ultimately, this is what elicits such hostility from those who are opposed to our system of values.

Medical Progress Came from the West

It is no coincidence that the Western world essentially developed modern medicine. In order to develop medicine, the first requirement is to understand human beings must learn how to conquer nature—conquer, not pray to natural forces (like rain gods) or try to propitiate them.

That is one reason diseases like smallpox and polio were eliminated in those parts of the world influenced by the Bible.

Human progress is not possible unless humans rule over nature. Many secular people in our time romanticize nature, perhaps not realizing—or not wanting to realize—that either humans rule over nature or nature will destroy humans. Either we conquer natural diseases, or they conquer us. Until the very modern age, people everywhere feared being eaten by animals. Most of us no longer give this a moment’s thought because most of the human race has come to successfully rule over the animal kingdom.

Christians Should Be Close-Minded

There is a cultural and spiritual war going on around us. The Left realizes this and acts accordingly. Many Christians are still sitting politely at the table, though, hoping the other side will come and have a civilized chat over a cup of tea. And even if they never come, the genteel folks at the table figure that at least they'll have done the right thing and lead by example. But your example is terrible, and nobody is paying attention to it anyway. You're only massaging your ego while you sit alone whispering to yourself about what a good boy you've been. "Look at me! The truth is eternal, not elastic. It is what it is. Once we come to know it, our minds should be absolutely and permanently closed around it. We should be intolerant of Satan's lies and unwilling to "hear him out" or consider his point of view. We should show respect to the people who have been duped by him, and we should love them, but we ought to have no respect or love for their ideas, which are wicked and delusional. We are already accused of being closed-minded. It's time we earn the label.
